Govern Autonomous Software Engineering at Enterprise Scale

What does enterprise autonomous software engineering need?

Enterprise autonomous software engineering needs explicit authority, auditability, capacity controls, model routing, portable repositories and human-controlled release gates. Nexus is designed to keep those controls independent of any single coding model while recording the exact work, evidence and repository identity behind each delivery.

01

Authority must survive every agent session

Enterprise coding agents cannot use a model conversation as the system of record. Nexus stores project, work and delivery state durably in PostgreSQL and enforces fenced ownership when assignments change.

This creates a recoverable execution record and prevents a stale worker from silently becoming canonical.

  • Database-backed authority
  • Fenced work leases
  • Exact-SHA identity
  • Recorded remediation
02

Route models under one policy layer

Different work may suit approved hosted or self-hosted models. Nexus preserves one governance and evidence contract across those routes.

Deployment requirements vary, and Nexus does not claim that every installation is fully on-premise. Model, network and data boundaries should be confirmed for the required environment.

03

Keep releases and repositories portable

Customer-owned Git repositories remain the durable software record. Candidate work is reviewed before one integration authority advances canonical state.

Production approval remains a human-controlled gate where configured. Nexus does not claim compliance certifications that have not been awarded; technical controls and organisational compliance are separate questions.
